Description
This restaurant is an ideal place to visit if you are in the Old Town and want to eat something other than traditional Polish. Don't confuse this place with the Maharaja Indian restaurant in the center of town.
Maharaja is located in the basement of a traditional Old Town building. Crisp tablecloths and attractive tableware give it a pleasant, sophisticated atmosphere, but overall the impression is casual.
Some of the dishes are almost entirely authentic. The chef is Thai, but getting the right ingredients is a real challenge over here. Like most restaurants in Warsaw, the spicy dishes are milder than what you may be used to. The wine list is small but adequate, and many mixed drinks are also available.
