Maharaja was the first Indian restaurant in Poland but soon lost it's way, becoming slightly dilapidated and known for a poor level of food. Meanwhile plenty of competition has arrived and this restaurant, in theory in a good location on the corner of Plac Zbawicela, not too far from the centre and very close to various hotels and hostels, not to mention embassies has had to do something to try and turn itself around.
Whilst the dodgy interior that comes close to looking like a student house still remains, the food is back on the up and is now again one of the best in the city but how long it is before their chefs disappear we will see!
The restaurant also serves up Thai cuisine but I've never tried it, the prices in this restaurant are some of the highest but considering the not so pleasant inside of the restaurant, it may be worth abusing their 15% discount offer on those that have a take away and don't require delivery. That is if you are staying somewhere close or have a car or transport to connect you with the two quickly enough, wouldn't want it to go cold!
Due to prices, it's probably not up there with Namaste but it's always nice to have options. The restaurant has a very simple user-friendly website where you can check out the menu in English or Polish.
