Description
This is undoubtedly the best Spanish cuisine in the elegant eastside of town. The food is plentiful and well spiced, with specialties such as pimiento de piquillo, empanada gallega (Galician pie), paella Valenciana, mero (the ineffable grouper or sea bass), and the cazuela de mariscos (seafood casserole). Wine is a must to accompany the meal, but care must be taken with side orders, such as bar snacks and cheeses, which can really bump up your check. Without these extras, a complete meal can still exceed $80 per couple.
Wooden beams, large paintings on white walls, and black lamps beaming ochre light create a refined mood.
