Gusto is a trend-setting eatery that combines open-plan restaurant, pizzeria, wine bar, pralineria (praline shop), and even a culinary shop that sells all kinds of interesting items. The design is split-level, with exposed brickwork, wooden floors, marble-top tables and industrial style lighting. On a weekday evening, the young, cosmopolitan dinner crowd is the other element to go for the people watching. The menu emphasizes Mediterranean cuisine, mainly meat and fish dishes prepared with fresh herbs and spices. One classic example is the Pizza Mediterranea, topped with ricotta, sliced aubergine and fresh basil leaves. I had their Neapolitan pizza, again a masterpiece of fresh tomato, cheeses and an excellent thick crust underneath it all, but the sheer variety of pizzas alone is something to keep returning to this pizzeria for. There’s the influence of Asian present also in such fare as stir-fried vegetables with prawns, crispy chicken, spaghetti, vegetables and ginger or tempura (Japanese fritters). During the day there is also a "fitness brunch" featuring salads, yoghurt, cereal and freshly squeezed orange juice. The menu is in English as well as Italian. The wine bar has live jazz in the evenings.

A pizza with a bruschetta and drinks will cost around L.35,000, and meals in the restaurant from 30.00 euro. There's also a bookshop-cookshop, a wine shop and a cigar room. The eating-bar areas are closed on Monday.
