Description
A smart crowd is attracted to this imposing Victorian building looking over Waterloo Bridge. The cuisine is the very best in American grills. Despite being full of suited diners the atmosphere is relaxed. The menu is meat-heavy with steak, calf's liver, guinea fowl and the like, so expect more of a New York rather than Californian experience. But you can also find lighter dishes such as crab cakes and interesting side orders along the lines of zucchini fries with a lemon pepper dressing. The wine list boasts some great American wines, but also has generously included other regions in its selection. Weekend brunch is great here, with a special menu, and there are also pre- and post-theatre dinners (5pm-7pm and 10pm-11.45pm).
