Hard Rock Cafe - London

Although I love dining in Hard Rock Cafes, I was thoroughly disappointed in this particular location. The atmosphere and decor was accurate--music videos playing, musical things on the walls, etc. However, the food and service was terrible. I received a partially raw hamburger and they refused to correct their mistake, as well as cold french fries. The waitress never checked back in on us, and serice was incredibly slow overall.

The most expensive cheeseburger I've ever eaten! It was nothing fancy, either. The food was generally plain, but did taste a little like home.

We had gone a week of eating Shephard's Pie and other local cuisine so the craving for a decent cheeseburger (McDonald's should be outlawed in Europe) was overwhelming. Our menu was already picked out for us (pre-arranged tours. oi!) so I didn't get to see what else they had to offer. The cheeseburger was pretty plain; didn't come with all the fixings like at home. The fries were alright and what is with Coka-Cola in the U.K?! Maybe it's just me, but I can't drink the stuff there. When I asked for water instead the waiter hesitated and then asked if I was ill. My guide told me that carrying bottled water with you at all times wasn't as popular there, yet.

How cute.

As for a recomendation, It's not wise to spend your money here. There are better oppurtunities for a burger. There has to be.

If you like American food such as hamburgers, BLT's, and similar dishes this is a great place to come, the food is always great, they do serve drinks and you can be as rowdy as you like.

This is a venue where you have to cue for a table, the bigger the group, the longer the wait. The advantage of going in a group is that you can take turns at standing in line while the others go to the pub across the road.

This place has plenty of atmosphere and you munch on your food while the docile tones of rock-n-roll are being played through speakers. Do not go to this restaurant for a quiet romanic dinner.

Closest tube stop Hyde Park Corner.

The Hard Rock Cafe is always a great place to eat if you're up for noise and excitement. The menu is varied and offers something for everyone. I have found that they are usually crowded, however, so allow plenty of time.

If you're a fan of Hard Rock Cafes, then the Hard Rock-London is a must see. It is the original Hard Rock Cafe and, as such, the lines are usually quite lengthy. While you're waiting, make your way down stairs to the bar and have a drink. Hard Rock is known for their "pig sandwich" and they claim you haven't been to Hard Rock if you haven't had one. Try one; it's perhaps not the best barbecue you've ever had, but good nonetheless. The apple pie for dessert is excellent and another one of the things Hard Rock is known for. As in any other of these theme restaurants, the memorabilia could keep you busy for hours as you explore the artifacts from your favorite band or performer and the loud music won't let you forget where you've chosen to eat for dinner.

If you've had a bit too much to eat and need a little after dinner exercise, it's a good walk from here but head down to Harrods, several blocks away!
