Description: Near the Streist cinema you have the Gansemarkt Passage which is filled with three floors of shops but there is also this lovely restaurant where you can have dinner and lunch but also just a cup of coffee, tea and some cake. We came here for dinner when we went to the cinema. Since it’s just five minutes walking from the cinema it’s perfect to get something to eat. The restaurant is located in the more expensive part of the town with the more expensive shops.
The restaurant is located on the first floor right in the corner. When you walk towards it looks more like a coffee shop instead of a restaurant. When you walk in you will notice the room behind it which looks more like a restaurant. At first you will see the counter where the coffee and tea are made and you can see a large selection of cake.
Throughout the restaurant you have wooden chairs and tables which all look very cosy and comfortable. There were already menus on the table with an ok selection of food. It’s typical standard bar restaurant food like hamburgers, beef, pasta’s, soups and of course schnitzel and curry wurst. Ofcouse I had to have the typical German curry wurst.
When we sat down it took around 5 minutes to get helped but was ok. She was very helpful and served us with a smile. She took our drink and food order and the drinks came within around 5 minutes and the food a bit longer. She mistaken with the food order so that one of the dishes had to go back but around five minutes later the right food came to the table.
The size of the portion of the food was really good and the curry wurst was really large like it should be. I had frites with the curry wurst which was also sufficient. I really enjoyed my food and was quiet full after the meal. The curry wurst came with homemade sause which was really nice.
I think this restaurant is great and after for a quick bite. It’s not really for a good long night of sitting in a restaurant but for a quick bite it’s perfect. I gave it five stars!
