Liana's was recommended to us by a friend who writes food blogs. We were told that this restaurant has incredible food, large portions and a small price tag. We were exploring Parramatta and decided to check out Liana's for a late lunch. You can't miss the place; it is a huge corner restaurant. They have indoor and outdoor seating but we decided to beat the heat and sit inside. Our waitress sat us at a nice table for two by the window and handed us menus. We decided on some sparkling water to drink and bread was brought to the table.
The menu was amazing with so many Italian dishes to choose from: pasta, appetizers, entrees and salads. After perusing the menu we decided on the pesto Parmesan bread for an appetizer. Liz ordered a lunch portion of the Gnocchi Gorgonzola and I had the lunch portion of Gnocchi Trieste.
Our bread came out first. Wow...it was delicious. The bread was warm and crunch with a delicious pesto and Parmesan topping. We finished all the pieces....it was that good. The flavor of the pesto and the parmesan on the warm crusty bread was delicious. Our entrees arrived and they were incredibly large for lunch portions. We were quite thankful we didn't order the regular sized portions. The gnocchi was light and fluffy; so fresh. The Trieste sauce was delicious with a creamy sauce and avocados. My chicken was very tender with bite sized chunks. The food was delicious but we barely managed to finish half of the portions. Full and defeated we surrendered....no more gnocchi would be eaten that day....
I would recommend this place for its food quality, potions, service and above all the value.
