The botanical gardens in Gibraltar are a welcome quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle of the town proper. The gardens a full of life with flower beds and plants of all types growing seemingly everywhere. There is a quaint ivy covered walking bridge along the up and down walkways one of which features a genuine red phone box.
This is a quintessential English garden of the type one would expect to find behind the manor house in any English village or town. The gardens are not very large so walking them is not terribly trying or difficult. What they lack in size they make up in peace and quiet. This is a place to get away and enjoy a peaceful respite from shopping or the tour of the Rock.
