Hobcaw Barony is the site of Barnard Baruch's home away from home. It is composed of several old plantation properties. The tour includes the extensive grounds as well as the house. Hobcaw is now a research facility for Clemson and the University of South Carolina to study marsh life, tides, winds etc. The tour is extremely interesting. I recommend it to anyone traveling in the Low Country.
