Description: The Premier Hotel has 110 rooms, spread over the ground floor and another 5 floors. From the outside the hotel is very appealing. This is a typical Victorian building, which is on one side built with bricks and on the other side has a white facade. The house is well preserved and has a lot of charm.
The hotel entrance is reached via a few steps. For guests with mobility problems, there is a stairlift to fit a wheelchair. Since there are only a few steps,. On top, you then have the choice whether to go through a revolving door, or the door beside it which opens automatically when you press the button.
Walking into the lobby, is set equal to that during the renovation, the historical façade and the structure of the house have been retained, but the interior was completely renovated. Opposite the entrance there are vending machines for self-check-inn. On the left there is a table that represents the actual reception. Behind it are a couple of chairs, where you can make yourself comfortable. You will also find a vending machine and a vending machine with snacks. The lobby is cozy and modern. The dominant color is purple - as in the rest of the hotel. All hotels in the chain apparently put on this color scheme, how do you know when you look at pictures on the Internet. Seen from the entrance right, it goes to the bar, which also looks quite inviting. All floors are accessible barrier-free, there are also special rooms for disabled guests. However, the building itself is rather twisty, so you may need to look where the elevator is right, but basically everything is well signposted. The entire hotel is Non smoking hotel
When you enter the room you are standing in a tiny, dark hallway that - has no real function - as it turned out later. The lobby is small enough to fit any cabinet or similar. There are no coat hooks and even at the box store, it would be too small. Although you can turn on an overhead light, but since this a maximum of one square meter hall is large and has no windows, most guests are not. The closest I could imagine this will be an additional hallway noise as the door opens directly to the staircase. However, it was always so quiet in the hotel corridor, that it probably would not have been necessary.
For me is very important in every hotel is always the bathroom. This is opposite the bed. The light switch is outside. When you enter the bathroom you look like in a large mirror, which is a sink and toilet. The floor is a bright linoleum floor, the walls are brightly painted, or mostly white tiles. Toilet, sink and shower tray are white and new. One can see that the hotel was renovated recently, because there are hardly any signs of wear. The shower bath is very large, so it also finds room for two. Closed the shower with a beautiful glass sliding door. The water can be regulated well and the water jet is pleasant. Only storage space for shampoo and shower gel are missing. Due to the size of the bathroom and the shelf next to the sink is rather small, but adequate. Next to the sink and the shower soap dispenser is mounted, otherwise it is out of hand towels, toilet paper and hygiene bags nothing else in the bathroom. Certainly I've seen better-equipped bathrooms, but even worse. This bath is completely functional, bright, modern, and therefore there is little to criticize. Only the ventilation could be better. This can only happen if the air conditioning is turned on and off sucks but still slightly damp. Thus, the mirror fogs up quickly and you can see little. Nevertheless, we were very pleased with the bath.
The Premier Hotel is a clean, beautiful and well-located hotel that I would always book again. Both the service and breakfast were excellent and the rooms are attractively furnished and modern. First, it is somewhat irritating that everything is purple, but it is a pleasant tone that is not obtrusive. Is a half-point deduction is only for little things, like the too hard mattress in the bed, the lack of opportunity to open a window and the room size of individual rooms. Especially when you consider that there is greater room for the same money, it is quite remarkable. The price is a little high, though certainly usual for London. But since I had seen better hotels for this price, there is another half-point deduction. Thus I come from 4 of 5 stars and a recommendation.
