Description: The hotel is peacefully situated in a business complex about 5 minutes walk from the Central Station, the pedestrian area, Opera, Gewandhaus, Augustusplatz are also 5 minutes walking from the hotel. Since you are middle in the centre of Leipzig you have more than enough shops and especially around the train stations are some shops with food and drinks.
Upon check in was asked if I needed some help with my luggage. It felt very welcoming and the staff was truly helpful and polite. Even throughout my stay I was helped kindly and when my coffeemaker didn’t work within a few minutes after I phoned there was somebody at my room to help the problem.
I had a double room (two separate beds) on the 5th Floor for single use, overlooking a courtyard and the other side of the building with an office complex. The room had a mini bar, desk, TV and radio (four channels, including pop and classical music of a regional station), adjustable air conditioning which could be completely turned off. The telephone (direct dial) on the desk and the bed. It had a built-in answering machine.
The room had a bathroom with tub and toilet. You could hear the TV or the radio over the loudspeakers in the bathroom. The key card you receive at check-in (no room number, for this there is an extra piece of paper) should be inserted in the room at the entrance in a box so that one has power.
The hotel (356 rooms) is mainly focused on business and has several meeting rooms (some of them were occupied at the time of my stay of the Deutsche Bahn AG). There is also a pool where the water (about 28 degrees) feels a bit cold. There was a sauna and a fitness room with modern day endurance and normal equipment, including two blue mats on which one example can do their own exercises and yoga. There is a dispenser with hot water and cups (but not tea bags), plenty of towels, a mixed shower in the sauna and separate shower / changing rooms - cabinets with 1 EUR deposit.
At the pool area where all deck chairs. There is a business center and an Internet PC, but with a high price. EUR 2.50 for 15 minutes so I did without. For the same time I then paid in the Goethe Street in an Internet Cafe (at the Augustus Platz) 40 cents.
Breakfast is served from 06:30 - 11:00 clock with various varieties cakes, bread, pretzels, sausages, cheese, cold cuts, marinated salmon, bacon, fruit, cereals, boiled eggs as desired, Croissants, pie slices, mini pancakes, Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, yogurt (to drink), bread spreads. Dinner is served from 17:30 - 23:00 clock againagt high prices. There is also a bar "Da Vinci" from 10:00 - 02:00 clock is open. Both restaurant and bar I haven’t used.
I felt very comfortable there and I will book again if necessary. So quiet and comfortable I have slept. The hotel has enough facilities for my liking and I enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna.
