Luxembourg isn’t cheap, so hotel rooms don’t come cheap, either. Bella Napoli is a bargain; however, Spartan’s the word. This is the only budget hotel I have been to in the last few years, that doesn’t have a TV set in the room for example. The place itself was spotless. The room had an air of unfinished renovation about it. No wardrobe as such, just a rack on the wall with a few coat hangers. The bathroom was tiny with a toilet, shower and wash basin, everything you need really. There was nowhere to hang your towels, though. The towels provided were well worn, if not to say past it. I didn’t sleep much the first night. The beds were far too soft, being seven months’ pregnant and having had a noisette (a kind of espresso with milk) after dinner didn’t help, since the baby decided to party all night. The Italian restaurant downstairs is where you have breakfast. The breakfast was simple; the different kind of individual pâtés all tasted the same. Breakfast was included, Italians aren't known for large breakfast spreads and we didn't leave the table hungry, so that was o.k. with us. They asked us if we wanted warm milk with our coffee, I liked this very much. The restaurant’s interior is very nice, the food is supposed to be really good, according to other guests, we never ate there any other time. The hotel is very convenient if travelling by train, as it is situated near the Luxembourg train station. There is no parking provided by the hotel and parking fees are horrendous.
