We stayed here twice. The first time we got a decent room but when we came back through a week later we got a room that had not been updated and was terrible. It also was not at all clean. In fact, it was pretty disgusting. Everytime we went to the restaurant the food was not very good. Also, be prepared to wait. The last night we were there I waited for over an hour and finally walked out without eating. Everyone else who came in after us got served very quickly but they were locals. It didn't seem that Americans were all that welcome. Some of the staff was nice...others were unfriendly. The way the rooms are built you can hear everything going on outside...it was very noisy till late at night. Checking in and out is an experience. Again, be prepared for a wait. When we went to check in they had lost our reservations...not a surprise. It took nearly an hour to check in. When we came back through it didn't take quite that long but it was still a wait. Checking out takes about half an hour. You have to pack everything up and wait while they check your room to make sure nothing has been damaged or stolen. The pool was the only saving grace. It was very nice and my kids really enjoyed it. We also felt pretty safe while we were there. It is gated with guards at the gate at all times. We'll be staying somewhere else the next time we go.
