When I picked this place online I knew that the bathrooms were down the hall, so I was OK with that. What I did not know was that there is no air conditioning and it was in the high 90s when I was there in February. It was miserably hot. There is also no elevator, and the place is just a dump: squeaky, bumpy floors, ratty carpet, my window would not stay open unless I propped it open with a piece of wood. Also, the cleaning was questionable. In the corner of my room was an empty bottle of hand lotion and someone elses sock. Internet access is $*per day, or something like $* for an hour. On the plus side, the breakfast is not bad, though rather disorganized, the price is good, and the location is convenient -- about half a block from a ferry terminal which will get you to Circular Quay, where all the action is, in about 10 minutes. If you are going at a time when it is not so hot and you are prepared for the general grunginess, it might be OK for you. They have a wide variety of rooms at different prices, from small economy rooms with bunk beds up to ones like mine, a "queen deluxe" which had a small balcony which enabled a cross-breeze. The staff was limited but nice.
