Quote: This hotel is easy to get to from the airport. Has a grocery nearby. The pool area is very resort-like with a free form pool, nice hot tub, lots of deck chairs, tiki bar and lush landscaping. The buffet food was standard buffet fare and wait staff... Read the full North Star Lodge review

Not as bad as everyone says

  • 5 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • February 18, 2011
Quote: I had a nice time here. All the bad reviews I have read seem unfounded. The room was clean, as well as the bathroom. The elevators (both) worked. The water was not yellow. The hotel is not in the middle of a ghetto like it has been described or by a... Read the full North Star Lodge review

Quote: First I must say that after reading all the horrible reviews I was very worried about staying here. I am glad I decided to see it through and not cancel my reservation. The water was not yellow. The carpets, at least the hallways and room I was in,... Read the full North Star Lodge review

Quote: The pictures look really nice, but those pictures are for the timeshares only. I would never stay again. The room we were in was of really poor quality. There was actually old vomit going down the side of one of the mattresses. Employees were... Read the full North Star Lodge review

Dont trust the pictures!

Quote: The pictures of the rooms are only for the time share suites. The rest of the rooms were on par if not worse than Econo Lodges I have stayed at! The TV was about 19", no pay per view or movie channels. No gym. I was highly disappointed in this hotel.

Quote: We were hesitant to stay here due to some reviews that we read. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival though. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Yes, the TVs are 19" but after all we are not here to... Read the full North Star Lodge review
