Quote: The hotel was in a prime location. It was close to everything. There was a great Irish bar/restaurant next door. It was an old hotel with some *quirks*. The staff were really friendly and helped us with any questions we had.

This hotel was very close to Time Square and Broadway, very convenient. However, I recieved a bug bite on my leg over night.

Quote: This hotel was very close to Time Square and Broadway - walking distance to both and reasonable. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful, but I booked a double with two adults and two kids and the first night I was provided a double room. The... Read the full Hotel St. James review

Nice, traditional hotel in great location

  • 4 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • March 7, 2011
Quote: This hotel is a taste of old New York less than a block from Times Square! They even have metal room keys that you have to drop off at the desk whenever you leave. Located between 6th & Broadway, it's close to both Times Square & Rockefeller Center.... Read the full Hotel St. James review

Good hotel, excellent location, just loud

  • February 12, 2011
Quote: We stayed here 3 nights for an anniversary vacation. We had an excellent price for the location - nothing else near TS was this low. The location was perfect - walking distance to plenty of big sights, any subway train you needed and just a couple... Read the full Hotel St. James review

Great location, wonderful staff, very clean

Quote: I really enjoyed my stay here. I liked that the staff held the room key when I went out - I didn't have to worry about losing it! The building had lots of character and the room was very clean. The decor was a little worn and the beds were very... Read the full Hotel St. James review

no frills, priced right

  • 4 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • February 8, 2011
Quote: Unbeatable location and value! You get a basic, clean, functional room at a remarkable price. The tradeoff is that it's a no-frills hotel. No in-room coffeemaker. No ice machines in the hallways. There is a mini-mart/cafe immediately next door, so... Read the full Hotel St. James review

Quote: I would definitely stay again. Great, but GREAT location, near everything, only two blocks from Times Square, subway stations, starbucks, restaurants, a great irish pub two doors away, and a very convenient mini-market and deli/restaurant next door... Read the full Hotel St. James review

Small room - great price

Quote: I loved the "European" styling of this place. All the front of house people seemed to be foreign exchange students. It was friendly though not always totally efficient. There was no food service but a restaurant within close walking distance and so... Read the full Hotel St. James review

Quote: I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel St. James. It is a quaint old fashioned Broadway district hotel. The location is great as it is only half a block from Broadway and 45th Street. The hotel was quiet and clean and had many interesting visitors from a... Read the full Hotel St. James review
