Allora Ristorante was recommended to us when we were in Franschhoek. It must be the warmest and most family friendly restaurant in the area, and the food was delicious.
They have a large menu that catered for all of us. The fillet with muscarpone, rocket and parmesan shavings was absolutely divine. I had a taste of the home-made spaghetti porcini which was also awesome.
Tiramisu and toasted pine nut semifreddo finished off the lunch perfectly.
There is a play area for the kids, as well as a kiddies menu.
Service was warm and friendly, and it is obviously owner managed.
We'll definitely be back when we are in the area again.
