Description: Since my hubby and I were attending the Morikami Museum for the very first time, we decided to go all out and have lunch at the Cornell Cafe as well. The Cafe is on Morikami property, so you can't eat there unless you pay admission to the museum.
They have a pretty good selection of foods; sushi, noodles, egg rolls, soups, salads, tofu and desserts. I, being the adventurous one, ordered a bento box, which came with a bit of everything. Hubby, being the non-adventurous one {although he is pure Japanophile, much more so than me!} ordered the least threatening item on the menu...the chicken teriyaki.
You can eat your food outside, under the open air, but covered terraces or you can sit in the air conditioned area as well - I highly recommend sitting outside, so you can view the gardens while you eat.
I HIGHLY recommend visiting the Cornell Cafe if you visit the Morikami Museum! And remember, if you are visiting during one of the Morikami's festivals {we did, but that will be a different review} the wait to eat at the cafe can be upwards of an hour! When we visited and there was not a festival going on, there was no wait at all.
