The most moving of samarkand's sights is the street of tombs east of Bibi Kahnym. The name which means Tombs of The leaving King, refers to its original, innermost and holiest shrine, a complex of cool; quiet, blue rooms around the grave of a cousin of Prophet Muhammad who brought Islam in samarkand.
