How Fitting - A Park Named for Brian
Being from Ft. Lauderdale and growing up with both Brian and Don and spending many afternoons at the Picolo's deli downtown I can't wait to go see the park every time I go back to the ole' stomping grounds! The Picolo's meant a lot to both me and my family and I do miss them so. At one time Don worked for the TV station in our area and that kinda kept the spirit going for this old gal. I don't miss a chance to see "Brians Song" every time it appears on TV and I keep reading the book over and over again. I wish I could have met Joy and the girls as Brian meant a lot to all of us, but just as we grow up we kind of go our separate ways, Brian and the Picolo's have always been in our thoughts. What a fitting memorial for a hometown boy, keeping his memory alive, for this I thank you!

See above descriptions. Lots of tennis leagues every morning. Go past the velodrome for remote fishing canal. Some people do. There is actually some wildlife in the park. It is so close to the Everglades. I have seen owls, egrets, ibis, and other birds during morning runs. Snakes are in all canals, so there are probably some back there. This is a great park!
