Garden of the Gods

Garden of the Gods was beautiful and educational. But I wouldn’t recommend it for families, because the kids would probably get bored. Garden of the Gods is a 700 acre park with huge, odd-shaped, sandstone rock formations. There is a big learning center in the park. It gives you information on the history of the park, native Americans that lived in the area, and the local wildlife. There is also a nice gift shop.

What I enjoyed most about the park is the rock formations and landscape of the area. It was beautiful. A bad thing about Garden of the Gods is that there was a lot of traffic on the roads that went through the park. So it was hard to take your time and look at all the rocks and stuff. Garden of the Gods was over all a nice trip. But it’s something you only would want to do if you really didn’t have anything to do. That is the only reason I went there anyway.

Garden of the Gods

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the Garden of the Gods is a park, admission is free, and it's not a tourist trap at all. I don't know why it took 4 years for me to learn this. It was not too crowded in March, but in summer, the traffic is probably crazy on the one-way roads through the park.
