Walking Tour

You can walk towards the point first and take the stairs at the end to the row of million-dollar houses and one of the 10 best views in Michigan when you reach the top of the stairs. The houses are magnificent and the lilacs were wonderful, with many varieties and colors.

It drizzled the day we were there, so we went into the old churches along the way to avoid the showers. There was a warm rain that made the lilacs smell wonderful as we walked along.

It is a quaint and wonderful island with only one motorized vehicle allowed - the ambulance. We watched a funeral with a horse-drawn hearse. It is like going back in time.
