Oliver Loving Gravesite,Greenwood Cemetery

Known as the 'Dean of Texas' trail drivers. Oliver Loving is a hero of Texas history. He arrived in Parker County about 1855. Wounded by Indians during a trail drive with Charles Goodnight, he died at Fort Sumner in 1867. It is interesting to wander around Greenwood Cemetery as many Texas pioneers are buried there. Be careful of fire ants!
