Located in the tiny hamlet of Euharlee just 7 miles from Cartersville is one of the state's oldest covered bridges. Rustic yet beautiful the old bridge spans Etowah River feeder-creek. The bridge was built in 1886 by African-American bridge builder, Horace King with his son, Washington, doing the actual construction.
There is a tiny museum on site. The hamlet of Euharlee sponsers a 'Covered Bridge Festival' each fall featuring live entertainment, arts and crafts and a Civil War Encampment.
