This activity is suitable for everyone, from the very active to the very sedate. The first part of the tour takes visitors up an aerial tram above the rainforest...envision something similar to the gondolas at ski resorts, only with an open-air feeling. Once at the top visitors can cruise around the observation deck and look over the forest, Arenal Lake, Arenal Volcano and the surrounding mountains. There are scopes provided and naturalist guides to explain all of the plants, animals and birds. Adventurous clients can take a canopy tour all of the way back to the bottom...and the less adventurous or physically unable can go back down in the tram. The end of the tour can be completed with a nice cup of coffee or cold beverage at the concession stand. Clean bathrooms too, for those who don't want to ride all of the way back down the long, bumpy road with a full bladder!
