Very few urban areas can boast of having a waterfall right in the middle of downtown, but Greenville can. Originally the site of a grist mill, the 62-foot tall Reedy River Falls makes you feel worlds away from the hustle and bustle of city streets just above it. A pedestrian bridge that crosses just above the falls is an excellent spot for photographs. The landscaped gardens along the banks of the river are well-designed. The numerous park benches provide and excellent place for a picnic, reading a book, or just enjoying a nice day outdoors.
