The Grand Formosa Hotel offers this full day tour. It includes four major stops, driving through scenic areas with stops along the way, and a filling, delicious lunch.
I have a hard time remembering the names of the stops because they were Chinese names, so I'll just describe the areas. The first stop takes you to a spot on the beach- it's not the type people go to for relaxing and just taking the sun, but it is beautiful- showing the island rise out of the clear, blue ocean.
The second stop allows you to hike along the Shenmiku (Secret Valley) Trail. You can go down off the trail to play along the river that cuts through the gorge.
The third stop is a tough, steep hike up a mountain to see some temples and religious icons. Be warned, if you have bad knees. This isn’t a stroll through the park. But rock stairs are set into the trail.
The last stop takes you to an aboriginal park area. However, there's really not much to see here. We were too tired to go on the trail so I don't know if there was anything to see on that. We essentially just "toured" the gift shop to see the local arts & crafts.
