Great for Small Children

Dutch Wonderland is my absolute favorite place to take my three year old and five month old. Despite the fact that we live a little under two hours away, we made the decision to purchase season passes this year (although we did not have to buy one for my youngest as children under 2 are admitted for FREE). It is clean in every sense.
This park is definitely for small children, but I still find myself enjoying the rides and shows. Some of the ride highlights include "Duke's Lagoon" (an outdoor kiddie splash park), a log flume, two roller coasters, a steamboat ride, gondola rides, and a train that tours the park. We also enjoy the diving show. Even though we have seen this show multiple times, my three year old gets a big kick out of the frogs and getting splashed! I actually recommend sitting in the "splash zone" on a hot day! It is also nice that my infant can accompany us on many of the rides. My only complaint with Dutch Wonderland is that my son often looks for "Duke" the dragon (their version of Mickey Mouse), but we have only encountered him once in 7 visits. I also wish they had some sort of breakfast with the characters in the park (along with Duke is Princess Brook and Brandon the Knight).
We have also found ourselves really enjoying the pin trading program the park has. Our son is allowed one new pin per visit. In theory he could trade pins with employees or other park goers, but so far he is too attached to ones he has selected.
To us this our Disneyworld, but much more affordable (free parking... around $30 for one visit or $99 for a season pass) and close to home. If you have children under the age of 5 you should make sure you squeeze in a trip before the end of the season! They are open through December due to Halloween and Christmas special events!

Most of the rides are of the older type geared more towards the younger ones. Don't be weary because you will have fun too. They have Roller Coasters to Merry-Go-Rounds. There is a train ride which takes you through the park and a monorail which costs an additional $1.50.
There are many places to eat inside the park.

This is a really nice park for the entire family from roller coasters to kiddie rides. You can have company picnics, group outings and Birthday parties there. They have different shows you can see such as Acapulco Cliff Divers and Bubba Bear & the Badland Band-good for the kids!
