The octagonal structure was three storeys, 36m, high. The top of the tower has now gone and it is now 32m high.
The Roman Tower was built to surround an even more ancient tower, which has left traces in the interior.
Climbing the tower provides an amazing view over Nîmes.
Entry costs €2.40 for an adult and €1.90 for a concession ticket. It is also possible to buy a joint ticket for a visit to the Amphitheatre for €5.40 for an adult or €3.20 for a concession.
