This mile-long, fine white sand beach, bordered by coconut palm and seagrape trees, is very pleasant and somewhat calm, despite being popular, with many hotels. The walk from my hotel at Apple Bay, steeply uphill and then downhill, was worth it, giving a great view of the bay. I spent an afternoon reading while laying on a beach chair - maybe from a hotel, but nobody controls that.
Experienced swimmers may swim to Smuggler's Cove, where snorkeling is said to be great - but get updated information about the sea conditions, especially in winter.
