Each room has antiques from different dealers. They have a lot of Americana, which fits in nicely in Salado, where country art is very popular, whether in the antique shops or the arts and crafts shops. We saw mostly household goods and accessories, and a lot of old Coca-Cola signs, bottles, and other items.
Peddler's Alley is not a fancy boutique, and you will find little refuge from the Texas heat inside. But, they do have a large selection of antiques and a huge selection of Fiesta Ware dishes of all shapes and colors.
To get to Peddler's Alley, take Texas I-35 to Salado, and Main Street is on the east side of I-35. Peddler's Alley is right behind the Central Texas Area Museum on Main Street (which is across the street from Salado Pottery and the Stagecoach Inn). Their phone number is 254-947-9722, and they are open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 5pm, and Sunday from 1pm to 5pm.
