Ten Pin Alley

The staff is wonderful! When I asked where I could buy a rosin bag (usually costs $1) I was handed a bag and asked to return it when I left – the first time I had ever run into that!

We did hit a ‘quiet time’, but were amazed at the staffs outgoing and helpful attitude! When I asked about getting some soda for the girls I was personally escorted to the bar area – not obvious from the bowling area – and introduced to the waitress on duty. She immediately offered to come to the lane, and handed a menu to me, ‘in case you want to order something’. The whole staff was friendly and made us feel like we were welcome and in a ‘safe place’!

The girls hesitated to ask for the bumpers put up – after all we had bowled many games with them down and obviously did not need them – but there was no question, or even teasing. When I went up to pay for the games I was asked how we had enjoyed our time there. I laughed about the bumpers, and was responded to with ‘oh, they had such fun with that didn’t they’?!.

The girls went on to play pool in the room off the main bar, and next to the alley. They managed to sink the cue ball early in the game, and it got stuck inside the table. A worker immediately came over, opened up the table, found the ball, and apologized that it did not work right the first time.

I was bored, but hesitant to leave 4 young teenage girls unwatched, so I wandered around, while keeping an eye on them. There was no need – each time I was out of sight of them an employee made a point of letting me know what the girls were doing at that moment!

The whole time we were there we did not feel like customers – rather like family. This is very unusual in a place that we were obviously just visiting, and not apt to return again in the near future! We never felt like intruders, or even customers – rather from the moment we walked in we felt as if we were family, and therefore were important and treasured. There is no question that I would go back there any time I was in the area!
