Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park
Gigantic coastal redwoods, some up to 27-feet around, make this a shady, restful place. There's nothing like a redwood forest to put yourself in size perspective. The park is really awesome! There are lots of hiking trails in the 810-acre park. My favorite is .07 mile from the Lodge along Pfeiffer Redwood Creek up to 60-foot Pfeiffer Falls. A word to the wise: if you plan to camp or stay at the lodge, be sure to call and make a reservation.
