Smokey Mountain National Park

The blue haze of the Smokeys are amazingly beautiful. The drawback to that is if you're not there on a clear day, it will be too hazy to see from the highest peaks. We saw Cade's Cove when the late afternoon light hit the green valley and cast beautiful colors everywhere. Stop off and see the old log cabins and all the extra buildings it took to run a household back then. This is a serene destination, with lots of hiking trails and creeks - but it can also be enjoyed from the comforts of your car. A true must-see!
