This is a delightful town, but there is no way it can be called anything other than RIGHT on the beaten track, and it is wise to get there early in the day. Of all times, we managed to hit it on 14 July, but once we reconciled ourselves to the idea of crowds, we thoroughly enjoyed the procession.
A citadel, narrow streets, steep slopes and old buildings are all part of its charm, and the only way of taking it in is to stroll around.
