Carousel Mall is so large that you can easily see it from the plane when flying into Syracuse. It has steeple-like structures, and is white and turquoise. The mall is located on Onondaga Lake, which I am sorry to say is one of the most polluted lakes in the country, or was. I believe they did clean it up a bit.
It has about eight levels, but only four that the average person would be interested in: 1,2,3,8. 1,2 and 3 is shopping. 8 is movies.
Tourist buses come regularly to Carousel Mall.
Soon, when they build hotel rooms and make it bigger then Mall of America and add 40 restaurants, people will be able to spend the night. But right now, it's just a daytime destination.
It's a beautiful, nicely built mall. It's called "Carousel" because at the front there is a huge carousel that all the kids ride. It's by the food court, near a big, huge, and of course turquoise-tinted, window.
Every mainstream store you would want to go to is at Carousel.
I recommend going before three PM. Do not go here during the holiday season unless necessary! Otherwise, you will hit big crowds, which, to me, is almost as bad as bright lights and too many floors!
