Big Mountain has plenty of terrain for all skiing abilities. And the views from the top of the mountain are fantastic - Glacier N.P. to the east and Whitefish Lake to the south. I'm an intermediate skier who prefers mostly blue runs. Big Mountain was a pleasure to ski, with many wide, steep runs. The only place where other skiers were much of a factor was at the top of the mountain. There are three directions to head from there, so Moe Mentum could get a little congested. Ski Ambassadors will provide intermediate skiers and above with a tour of the area each day at 10am and 1pm. They will ski with you about an hour, showing you the runs that have the best conditions that day. We were there one very windy day and our ski ambassador helped us find the best places for good skiing out of the wind. A high-speed quad whisks you up the mountain from the base or the back side in about 10 minutes. The Village lift is free to all. It takes you from the Outpost where equipment can be rented to the Glacier Express (Chair 1 - high speed quad) or the village area with resturants, shops, and more equipment rental. A nice, gentle slope for beginners is available for beginners beside this lift.

The ski conditions were fantastic with great vertical and fast lifts. On a crisp sunny day, the runs are like heaven on earth. When it's foggy, come down early!!!
