I don't remember the exact name of this place, but it is the only shell musuem on the island, and it is on the main drag going toward Captiva. They have every shell that is found on the island, as well as a tribute to and information about Raymond Burr as he was a benefactor and frequent visitor to this place--there is a small theater where a video is shown and then the usual museum set up in small rooms with displays--they have docent types that do a bit of a guided tour, but it can be done without their help==everything is marked well and legible. Of course there is the usual high priced gift shop available that basically had expensive junk, in my opinion!! We did this on the way home on saturday morning--it was raining and it was an excellant time to do this sort of thing.
