Also on sale are drugs - there are several pharmacias along the Avenue, each with two people smartly dressed in white standing at the entrance to the shop, inviting you in. Need some pain killers? Viagra? Muscle relaxers? They have it in bright, clean shops with neatly stacked boxes of drugs. There are probably things you can buy that would require a prescription in the States, and I suspect some of their business comes from people with legitimate prescriptions who cross the border to save money.
The big items for sale along Revolucion besides drugs are leather, blankets and silver. Be prepared to bargain over prices, and be ruthless or you'll pay too much.
