What would a trip to the boardwalk be without fudge?!?! There are many places to obtain the sweet goodness in Cape May, but the Fudge Kitchen is the original. With 2 locations (on the Washington Street Mall and on the Promenade) in Cape May open all year, you can satisfy your sweet tooth on the run in any season.
The Fudge Kitchen offers up fudge in many, many varieties: chocolate, vanilla, peanut butter, mint, pumpkin, and others, depending on the season. Most are available with or without nuts. The Fudge Kitchen also has sugar-free fudge and candy. Their saltwater taffy is as famous as their fudge. For my money, this is the best fudge in Cape May, far surpassing some of the more upscale shops that charge considerably more for poor quality fudge.
Fudge is sold by the pound and currently costs around $8 per pound. Coupons are available in 'This Week in Cape May' for $1 off per pound. Be sure to pick up one of these guides from most hotels, stores, and restaurants.
