The Farmers' Museum will take you back in time to the rural life of the mid-1800s, when blacksmiths, printers, broom makers, weavers and other craftspeople plied their trades. See rare, heritage breeds of farm animals, try your hand at traditional crafts and listen to music as it sounded one hundred years ago. Children will enjoy the special events and hands-on activities.

Start at the Main Barn where there are rotating exhibits, then stroll the Village. This is a collection of authentic buildings that recreate a rural town from the mid 1800s. Shop at Todd's General Store for merchandise that might have been found in a country store of the period, visit Bumps Tavern, Peleg Field Blacksmith Shop, Todd's General Store, Filer’s Corners Schoolhouse, Middlefield Printing Office, Dr. Thrall’s Pharmacy, Dr. Jackson’s Office, Samuel Nelson’s Law Office, and Cornwallvile Church. Even the grounds are circa 1845. Heritage gardens, vegetable gardens, a medicinal-herb garden at the pharmacist's shop and a formal garden near the tavern all are traditionally designed.
