Fantastic Tour Company

Just completed a 16 day tour of Peru including Lima, Lake Titicaca, Inca Trail and a jungle lodge.

Qente were brilliant before and during the tour.

They were flexible and informative. Several emails in the months before the trip to check exactly what we wanted, to make sure we knew what we needed to take with us and to offer options. When we were there everything worked like clockwork. There was someone to meet us at every transfer, the pick ups were all on time and the guides were great.

When one of us got ill they made arrangements for them to stay in a hotel and then catch up with the group 2 days later.

Cannot recommend any more highly.

Great Tour!! Even for the Ill!

Three of us got sick with food poisoning before we left on the hike. They were so sweet and had the routine down pat! The cook made us special meals for the sick, the tour guide kept tabs on everyone, she was knowledgeable and encouraging! I really appreciated everything they did for the sick people!

Amazing Experience

Just got back from a private tour with 8 of us in total for a 3night, 4-day hike from KM 82 to Maccha Pichu, including transfer from the hotel to the starting point, Vistadome train back near Busco and bus back to the hotel. Overall, they were amazing, flexible, knowledgable and help provide an amazing experience. Had 12 porters, 2 chefs (one head and one asst), 2 guides (one main, one asst). One of our group got sick and head to turn around after the first night. They sent a porter and the asst guide back with her to Aguas Calientes and met up with them on at Macha Picchu. ~$500 per person. Food was excellent and cooked different food for the non-meat eaters and those that had tummy issues.

Only fault was they had offered a shower and toilet tent in the original offer but only had the camp toilets and hot shower at the 3 campsite.

Would highly recommend them.

Qente Tours

We must have over-trained for this hike. At 45 and the oldest one in our group, I found that it was nowhere near as strenuous as we had been prepared for. Our tour group was excellent. Even in the pouring rain the guide and porters went beyond the call of duty. Every morning they greeted us with a hot cup of tea as they woke us. They prepared three great meals every day and they smiled as they passed us on the trail carrying more stuff on their backs than I own. The last day does become an Inca traffic jam. The 2 day hikers join the trail with those who did the 4 day and, oops, there are a lot of people. Fortunately the goal is worth it. I will have to go back and do it again when it isn’t raining. I felt I missed some incredible views because they were covered in clouds.

From journal Why are they selling rain ponchos?
