I would definitely recommend any cruise to Alcatraz and the free ferry to Sausalito, a nice artsy little town on the other side of the bay.

Best of IgoUgo The boat tour goes out into San Francisco Bay. There is audio narration that is fairly informative. The tour takes you around the island where Alcatraz is located. You also get to go out to the Golden Gate Bridge. The tour is a fantastic value ...Read more

This bay cruise was included in our City Pass pack. You leave from the pier where all of the seals and sea lions lounge around. It was incredibly windy but perfectly clear on the day of our cruise. The highlights were seeing Alcatraz, the underside ...Read more

The tour was only an hour or so long, but there is so much to see with a constant eyeful that you don't have a chance to get bored. There is a recorded speaker tour guide that explains the history of the Bay islands, Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, ...Read more

We are not big on "touristy tours" when we travel, but wanted to get a quick look at the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. This one-hour tour was perfect for us. It was not too long, and the boat was not crowded at all. We purchased the ticket that ...Read more

A great way to get out on the water and either just take a tour ...or.. avoid the crowds and traffic and ferry over to Marin. Get off and enjoy the art shops, food, people watch. Have lunch, take the ferry back and you'll have more exploring to ...Read more

The 1 1/2 hour tour of San Francisco Bay is a nice little perspective with running narrative (which was a little difficult to hear much of the time). Departing Pier 39 every 45 minutes, the passengers are ferried north to the Golden Gate Bridge, ...Read more
