Eigamura - Japan's 'Movie Village'

Just as America cherishes their movie stars, so too do the Japanese, in a BIG way. Similar to Universal Studios, this actual movie village has sets that have been used multiple times in Japanese Samurai films and even Godzilla films, and you can walk amongst the memories... and even try to be one. At Eigamura, for a fairly grand price, you too can dress up in multiple different outfits of yore and run around with your swords playing the roles of great samurai or broken-hearted Maikos... When I went, I dressed as a high samurai, and myself and several friends ran around, took pictures, made a quick movie, and had a blast while all the Japanese 'tourists' thought we were actually making a film, IT WAS A BLAST! Still, it is not a 'traditional' locale, but it is a fun and enjoyable breather from all the temples.
