Big Bear is set in the San Bernadino National Park, there are many activities, walking in the forest (take a stick and watch out for bears / coyotes / snakes ) fish, swim, take your pick, most of it costs a few US dollars but its well worth a stay even if only for a weekend.

Big Bear Marina is the best site on the lake for fishing enthusiasts!. It offers the best mountain lake fishing and water sport adventures in Southern California. You may choose to cruise the lake in one of the comfortable pontoon boats that can accomodate up to 12 people, or spend the day fishing for Rainbow Trout, Bass, Catfish or Panfish from the outboard fishing boats. For those looking for the wilder side, you can rent Jet Skis, water skis and wake boards, or you can get a good workout plying the waters of Big Bear Lake in a pedal boat, canoe or kayak. Facilities include a launch ramp, slip rentals, fishing rod rentals, fishing licenses, bait, tackle, beer, soda, snacks and gift items.

Big Bear Marina is the home of the Big Bear Queen lake tours as well as Professional Fishing Guide Services. It is open 7 days a week, sunrise to sunset from April to November, weather permitting. When you want to be on the water...that's the place to go to!
