After the city is captured, the pirate "krews" head to their respective floats, and the parade celebration begins. As the parade works it way up Bay Shore Blvd. people cheer as the honored invaders toss commemorative coins, beads, and other bounty at the crowds.
By the end of the day, the streets and walks are littered with trash and a plethora of beer bottles! Aye Matey! This is the one day of the year, when the city is held captive by the pirates, and under pirate law, that public drinking is allowed!
