This is the museum of sacred and church art, and is fascinating. It is housed in an ex-monastery, and is packed with every kind of gilt-decorated and gilt-edged religious artifact. We particularly liked the chalices, used for serving the wine at Communion. There is a small room filled with these alone, each different and invaluable, set with every kind of precious stone and moulded precious metallic decoration. They come from the churches nearby, and one or two from other religious houses from the same order as this monastery originally was.
The vestments are another highlight, carefully hand-sown, with gold thread woven through many of them. We didn't see the whole museum - we got gilt and jewel overload after a short while here! It's an amazing place, though, and I highly recommend it.
