Chappaquiddick is a great place to visit -- not only for the beaches but also the 500 acre Cape Pogue Wildlife Refuge and 200-acre Wasque Reservation. This island is best known for Dike bridge, the scene of a drowning incident involving Senator Edward Kennedy in July 1969. This bridge is the only way to access Cape Pogue Lighthouse. Four wheel-drive vehicles can use this bridge and drive on the beach for a fee. I can't remember the actual fee -- I just know it was too much for us -- thus the reason we do not have any pictures of this lighthouse.
