Scheveningen Beach

Scheveningen, the Netherland's most popular beach, has the air of a gently faded resort. Unless you're desperate for a day at the beach, I'd say you can safely pass it by.

One of Holland's most popular beaches is that of Scheviningen, The Hague. It has a wide sandbeach with a lot of activity. On the beach on New Year's Day, there is the New Year's Dive. Hundreds of people dive in to the coldwaters of the Northsea. In summer it can be very crowded in Scheveningen.
On the boulevard there is always something to do. There you'll find the beautiful Kurhaus Hotel, a lot of shops, and the Sea Life aquarium. Close to the boulevard are the casino and some theaters. Several tramlines stop at Scheveningen.
